The Maatala Mantrikudu of Tollywood Trivikram Srinivas latest project A…Aa… has hit the theatres. The director who is known for bringing some novel and meaningful cinema is back with another sensible film. A...Aa... starring Nithin and Samantha is produced by S Radhakrishna who gave us hits like Julayi and S/o Satyamurthy under Haarika & Haasine banner.
Nadiya, Rao Ramesh, Naresh and Anoopa Paremaswaran and Srinivas Avasarala are seen in key roles. Mickey J Meyer has scored the music. A..Aa… is the story of Anasuya Ramalingam and Anand Vihari. How the letters of their names are next to each other but they take 25 long years to meet.
The film starts with Anasuya trying to commit suicide as she is tired of her life being overruled her mother. The next thing we see is she is admitted in the hospital and her parents (Nadiya and Naresh)are there in front of her. Her mother starts lecturing and Anasuya’s father comes to her rescue. Nadiya goes on a business trip and gives the responsibility of taking care of the groom’s side who are coming to see Anasuya to the father and daughter.
The father understands her daughter and gives her a plan to go to a place where she won’t be troubled by her mum. He sends her to her maternal aunt’s family village with whom their relations strained due to unpleasant reasons. Anasuya meets Anand Vihari (Nitin) in the train who accompanies her as requested by Anasuya’s dad and his uncle too.
Her 10 day trip at the village brings her close to the family and Anand also. Anand is facing financial situations and is forced to get married to the village head (Rao Ramesh) ‘s daughter who is in love with him. Anasuya’s mother comes to know about all this and the rest of the story forms in how they win each other and unite the estranged families.
Trivikram is back with another simple family love story with thoughtful dialogues and funny yet sensible one liners. The director makes an attempt to tell a simple story and conversations which happens in our day to day lives. The situations which we face in our families and the hurdles we cross.
Samantha is the narrator of the film and it is her story all through. She steals the show as Anasuya Ramalingam – the richie rich yet simple girl with care and concern attitude. Nithin performs his role well as the village guy.
Nadiya doesn’t add anything new but performs just as her role in Attarintiki Daaredi. Naresh performs well as the loving father and tormented husband. The bonding between Anasuya and father are emoted very well.
Premam fame Anoopa Paremswaran gives an impressive performance as Nithin’s sister. Srinivas Avasarala looks impressive in a short and sweet cameo.
