Leading Tamil actor Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 18 and promotions are already underway in an active manner. Directed by Mithran Jawahar under the Sun Pictures banner, the blockbuster production banner released a special promo featured on Dhanush as Thiruchitrambalam and veteran filmmaker-actor Bharathiraja as Senior Thiruchitrambalam on Sunday, June 19, on the occasion of Father's Day. The special Thiruchitrambalam promo shows the fun side of Bharathiraja as Dhanush's grandfather and doing an impersonation as his father.

The fun Thiruchitrambalam promo shows Dhanush finding out Bharathiraja doing an impersonation, who then informs him to bring home what he loves the most. Although not much is revealed from the promo, we get an idea of the tone of the film in general and the makers are leaving no stone unturned in getting the word out that it will be a full-fledged family entertainer. Dhanush is expected to play the role of a food delivery man in Thiruchitrambalam, with the rest of the cast featuring the likes of Raashii Khanna as Anusha, followed by Priya Bhavani Shankar as Ranjani, Nithya Menen as Shobana, whilePrakash Raj is appearing as the character Inspector Neelakandan.

Thiruchitrambalam has been one of the most-awaited films in recent times as it marks the reunion of Dhanush with 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander after their Thanga Magan (2015). The highly successful 'DnA' combo is a major USP in the upcoming film, which also sees Dhanush and director Mithran Jawahar teaming up once again after they previously collaborated in films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. As of now, not much is known about the plot details or the story of the film, with reports suggesting it will revolve around two time periods in the protagonist's life. We can expect Sun Pictures to next make an announcement regarding the Thiruchitrambalam first single soon and expectations are high that the Dhanush and Anirudh 'DnA' combo will come up with yet another memorable album.
