Dhanush has officially announced the release date of his next Tamil film, Thiruchitrambalam and the update has set the fans in excitement. It has been officially confirmed that Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam will hit the screens on August 18 and it will have a grand release on a wide range of screens. Dhanush made the announcement on his Twitter page by sharing a short motion poster video carrying the release date. Sharing the video, he tweeted, "Well it’s been a while isn’t ? Thiruchitrambalam from august 18th. See you all in theatres". Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is releasing on August 11 and Thiruchitrambalam will release a week after that.

Dhanush's last theatrical release was Karnan which emerged successful at the box office and let us hope that the success streak continues with Thiruchitrambalam as well. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, Thiruchitrambalam features three female leads - Priya Bhavani Shankar, Raashi Khanna, and Nithya Menen and all three of them would be sharing screen space with Dhanush for the first time with this one. The film is directed by Mithran R Jawahar who has earlier made films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. Thiruchitrambalam will feature Dhanush playing the titular character and the movie is expected to be a fun-filled family entertainer.

The much-loved DnA combo will be back after a long gap with this film and the fans are eagerly looking forward to hearing the songs. Interestingly, Anirudh is also in great form as a composer who has been churning out hit numbers one after another and one can expect the magic to continue with this Dhanush starrer as well. Om Prakash has handled the cinematography while GK Prasanna has handled the editing. Prakash Raj and Bharathi Raja would be playing pivotal roles. Dhanush's immediate next release will be his Hollywood flick, The Gray Man which is slated to release on July 22 on Netflix.

Dhanush will be sharing screen space with Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling in this action saga.
