Jayam Ravi is currently riding high on the phenomenal success of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 in which he portrayed the titular character. His earnest performance with conviction as Arun Mozhi Varman (aka) Ponniyin Selvan fetched positive reviews from the critics and audiences and it is now time for his other films to take the centre stage before the release of Ponniyin Selvan 2. Ravi has multiple interesting projects in the pipeline and one among them happens to be Iraivan. The entire filming of Iraivan has now come to an end and the film will enter the post production stages in full swing.

Iraivan is directed by I Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai and Manithan fame and he took to his official Twitter page to share the update on the completion of shoot. Iraivan is said to be a high octane action entertainer and more details regarding the project are awaited. Nayanthara is said to have played the female lead in Iraivan which is tentatively scheduled to release in theatres in February or March 2023. This update has served as a happy news for JR fans, making them look forward to the project. Jayam Ravi and Ahmed have already worked together on another film, Jana Gana Mana, which is currently on hold due to production-related issues.

Jana Gana Mana features Taapsee Pannu as the female lead and has MS Bhaskar, Dayana Erappa, Rahman, and others in important roles. The duo have worked on two films together already and among the two, Iraivan will release first, followed by Jana Gana Mana. However, Jayam Ravi's next release will be Agilan which is directed by N Kalyana Krishnan of Bhooloham fame. Produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainmenet, Agilan has Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran playing the female leads. The film is tentatively scheduled to release in December 2022. Ravi is currently shooting for two of his films simultaneously - Siren with Keerthy Suresh and JR 30 with Priyanka Mohan.
