Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 has had a phenomenal run at the box office and has collected close to 500 crores at the box office. The film is holding strong at the box office, despite the Diwali releases; in fact, PS has secured more screens this week. It looks like there is no stopping the movie from its raging performance. Following the highly successful theatrical run, the much-awaited official announcement on the OTT release date of Ponniyin Selvan has been made and here is what you need to know. It has been officially confirmed that PS 1 will have its digital release on November 4 and we are just a week away from witnessing it from the comfort of our homes.

The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video platform from the said date and this announcement has garnered wide attention among the fans. Interestingly, the film is already streaming on Prime Video on a rental basis for a price of Rs.199. People who want to buy the film can login to their Prime accounts and buy the film for a price of Rs.199. From November 4, it will be available to stream at free of cost for Amazon Prime Video subscribers. Despite the OTT release, the film is expected to continue its successful run in the theatres.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman whose songs emerged widely popular among the masses. Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the lead roles in this historical epic that has Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rahman, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Jayaram, Lal, and others in important roles.
