The grand gala audio launch of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan is all set to take place on the 6th of September at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai and the entire cast and crew will be present for the big occasion. The audio launch has been planned on a grand scale and it is expected to be one of the biggest ever events in the history of Tamil cinema. Ever since the announcement about the audio launch was made, the fans have been eagerly waiting to know the main star attractions of the event. The wait has now come to an end as the makers have officially confirmed the chief guests of the event.

The two legendary icons of Tamil cinema - Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be presiding the event as the Chief Guests. They would be there at the venue on the 6th of September to wish the team of Ponniyin Selvan and this development has garnered wide attention on social media. It has been a long time since the fans witnessed Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together in an event and on that aspect, the audio launch of Ponniyin Selvan is sure to be a special occasion. Rumours are rife that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has also been invited for the event and an official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Along with this announcement, the makers also made the big reveal about the number of tracks in the film. The first part of Ponniyin Selvan will have a total of six tracks in the album and among them, two have already been released - 'Ponni Nadhi' and 'Chola Chola'. Ponniyin Selvan, starring Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in the lead roles is slated to hit the screens on September 30.
