Vijay Deverakonda's Liger which released on August 25 in theatres amidst huge expectations failed to strike a chord with the masses. The film which opened to mixed to negative reviews from the audiences could not meet the expectations of the audience, ending up as a failure at the box office. Following all the criticisms and negative reviews of the film, the first official statement from the producer of Liger has now surfaced and it has turned viral among the fans. Charmme Kaur, who produced the film along with Puri Jagannadh under the banner of Puri Connects in association with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, took to her official Twitter page to mention that she will be taking a break from social media, assuring that the production house Puri Connects will bounce back, this time on a bigger note.

She also had an important message to tell her followers - live and let live. Charmme Kaur, reacting to the negative reviews of Liger, tweeted, "Chill guys! Just taking a break ( from social media ) @PuriConnects will bounce back 😊 Bigger and Better... until then, Live and let Live ❤️". Director Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda have already announced a new film titled Jana Gana Mana, an action packed entertainer, but rumours are rife that the project might be shelved due to various reasons. An official clarity regarding the same is awaited.

Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles is directed by Puri Jagannadh. Former Boxing legend Mike Tyson featured in a special cameo in the film. Vijay Deverakonda will next be seen in the romantic drama, Kushi which is slated for its theatrical release on December 23 during the Christmas weekend. Vijay Deverakonda will be romancing Samantha in this film that is directed by Shiva Nirvana of Majili and Ninnu Kori fame. Vijay Deverakonda will also be doing a film with Pushpa director Sukumar.
