Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra, the latest big release in Tamil cinema, is running in theatres with an impressive occupancy rate. The film, however, opened to mixed reviews from the audiences with people sharing their variety of thoughts and reviews on social media. After hearing them, the makers trimmed the film by 20 minutes. The initial version of Cobra was 3 hours and 3 minutes long, but the duration was cut short by 20 minutes, making it a 2 hours 43 minutes film and the updated version is only running in the theatres now. That being said, the film's director Ajay Gnanamuthu has now responded to the criticisms that has come his way.

Earlier today (September 4), Ajay Gnanamuthu interacted with his followers on Instagram through a Q&A session and during the interaction, he responded to the criticisms and questions from fans. When one of the fans expressed his disappointment about the film, Ajay Gnanamuthu shared his heartfelt apologies, adding that he would satisfy the fan next time. Ajay Gnanamuthu's reply read, "Sorry that you're disappointed!! Hopefully will satisfy you the next time.. But try to give Cobra another shot before concluding".

Similarly, when another fan expressed that Cobra had a confusing screenplay, Ajay Gnanamuthu wrote, "Firstly sorry that you felt confused!! But me as an audience I've always liked watching mind bending films and genuinely tried it this time!! If possible plzz try watching it again hopefully you like it!!". It is indeed good to see Ajay Gnanamuthu hearing the constructive criticisms and his responses have turned viral among the fans.
