The box office money-spinner, 'Thalapathy' Vijay has been on a roll over the past few years, with one blockbuster after one another, including Master, which came out as a Pongal treat, turning out to be a massive success. The mass masala action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under the XB Film Creators banner and featuring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist with Anirudh Ravichander's chart-buster music went on to revive the Tamil film industry after the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown caused major problems to the theatres and cinema halls in the state.

Vijay is currently working on the tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, under Kolamaavu Kokila fame Nelson Dilipkumar's direction being produced by blockbuster production house, Sun Pictures. Production on the upcoming film also starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead with music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander has been put on hold due to the lockdown in Tamil Nadu in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Thalapathy 65 team had completed the first schedule in Georgia sometime back and returned to Chennai and are expected to assess the coronavirus situation in the state before taking a decision to resume production once again. Likewise, Vijay was confirmed to be joining hands with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally for Thalapathy 66, a bilingual to be produced by Dil Raju. The Maharshi director, who has also made Thozha with Karthi in Tamil, revealed that an official announcement on Thalapathy 66 would have been made earlier had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic and a statement on the film is expected to come out after the lockdown.

In the meantime, Sun TV has now released a never-before-seen making video of Vijay's Bairavaa, as the film is set to be aired on the channel later today evening. The action thriller film, which came out in 2017, didn't turn out to be a big success for Vijay, but has drawn good TRP ratings each time it has been shown on television. Directed by Bharathan and produced under the prestigious Vijaya Productions banner, Bairavaa saw Vijay paired opposite Keerthy Suresh, with Sathish, Daniel Balaji, Thambi Ramaiah in vital supporting roles and Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist, including music by Santhosh Narayanan. The making video shows performing stunts, including being flawless during the song sequences, while also having a fun time with the rest of the cast and crew. Watch the Bairavaa making video below:
