Music director Ilaiyaraaja has now launched his new music recording studio in Chennai and the studio was opened with a special pooja today (February 3). It is a known fact that there were certain problems between Ilaiyaraaja and Prasad Studios and following a legal case, Ilaiyaraaja vacated the studio completely. After opening the studio, Ilaiyaraaja met the press and media and talked about the new studio. He said, “As everyone knows, I have come out of Prasad Studios and since I needed a place to record my songs and music, I bought this place and renovated it. The pooja event happened today. The regular recording and work process will begin from 7th or 8th as there are a few more minor works to be completed,”.

Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja will be composing music for acclaimed director Vetri Maaran’s film that stars Soori in the lead role and interestingly, it will be the first film for Ilaiyaraaja in his new studio. Director Vetri Maaran and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi were also seen in the studio opening event. Vijay Sethupathi, for the first time, officially confirmed his presence in the movie and the news has got a sensational response from the fans.

Sharing his happiness and excitement about acting in a Vetri Maaran film, Vijay Sethupathi said, “I am a big fan of Ilaiyaraaja sir and I never expected to be present in a studio that is owned by him, that too, for our own film. I am acting in a film that has Soori playing the lead role. I have always been interested in working with Vetri Maaran and I am happy that it is happening now. All positive things are coming together”. It can be noted that Vijay Sethupathi was initially supposed to play Rajan’s character in Vada Chennai, but it did not happen due to date issues. Vijay Sethupathi will now be happy that he is collaborating with Vetri Maaran finally.

Reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi will be donning the role of Soori’s father in the film, but official details are awaited. This Vetri Maaran - Soori - Vijay Sethupathi movie is produced by Elred Kumar under the banner of RS Infotainment.
