Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is slated to release in theatres on August 11 and we are two months away from witnessing the film on the big screens. Cobra will feature Vikram in multiple avatars and it is going to be exciting to witness him in a completely different dimension. Cobra is an action drama that is believed to keep the audiences highly engaged with its intriguing screenplay. Cobra is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame and has music composed by A.R.Rahman. The legendary composer has already delivered two chartbuster hits - 'Thumbi Thullal' and 'Adheeraa' and his work is going to be one of the major assets of the movie.

Meanwhile, an interesting update regarding the release of Cobra has surfaced on social media and it has garnered the attention of the fans. The UK and Europe theatrical distribution rights of Cobra have been acquired by one of the leading distribution firms, Ahimsa Entertainment. The company has already distributed the Thalapathy Vijay - Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master in the UK and Europe and Cobra will now be their next big venture. Ahimsa Entertainment made the official announcement about the same with a tweet that read, "#Cobra UK & Europe release by #AhimsaEntertainment 🎞️ After #ThalapathyVijay and #VijaySethupathi, we're glad to be associating with #ChiyaanVikram 🙌 #CobraFromAugust11 🥰".

Cobra is currently in the post-production stages and it will have a grand release on August 11, ahead of the Independence Day weekend. Cobra features Srinidhi Shetty of KGF 2 fame playing the female lead, while Mirnalini Ravi, KS Ravikumar, Anandaraj, Roshan Matthew, Miya George, and others play supporting roles. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan will be making his acting debut with this film and he will be playing one of the antagonists. Apart from Cobra, Chiyaan Vikram also has Ponniyin Selvan and an untitled film with director Pa Ranjith in his pipeline.
