'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra wrapped filming on Tuesday, with director Ajay Gnanamuthu posting photos from the shooting spot where the entire crew is seen in a celebration mode, while he also goes on to thank the people behind the film for helping make it a reality. Produced under Lalit Kumat's 7 Screen Studios banner, the film also features music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman and has been in the making for nearly three years. That said, Vikram's Cobra has spurred a new conversation after reputed Tamil film producer T. Siva of Amma Creations urged Ajay Gnanamuthu to extend his gratitude to producer Lalit Kumar as well for staying by his side during this three-year period for the delay in completing the shooting.

Responding to T. Siva's statement, Ajay Gnanamuthu tweeted back saying that he is not the reason for the budget of Cobra to shoot up. He tweeted, "With due respect sir!! I can prove that I’m not the reason for budget over shoot of cobra whenever and wherever I’m asked to!! Proofs will speak louder and clearer than rumours!! And by “team” it also includes my producer. I’m always not letting him down! Cheers sir 👍🏻" T. Siva replied back thanking Ajay for his reply and added that his only intention was to make the Demonte Colony filmmaker to appreciate producer Lalit Kumar as well since he had done the same for Vikram. He wrote, "@7screenstudio tk u ajay for ur reply. Whatever may be d rumours it can be discussed n Short out.Since u mentioned tks to chiyaan vikram u should mention producer name also. Hope u understand, accept n do it. Tk u all d best 🤝" The conversation came to a conclusion with Ajay Gnanamuthu stating, "It was not intentional sir!! I always hold my production and producer in high regards.. Always!! 👍🏻"
