Superstar Rajinikanth's classic blockbuster hit, Sivaji: The Boss, released on this day (June 15) in 2007 and the film celebrates its 15th year anniversary today. The fans have been celebrating the occasion on a grand note on social media and people are sharing their favourite clips from the film. That being said, director Shankar and Superstar Rajinikanth met this morning on this special occasion to recollect their sweet memories of working in the film. Shankar took to his official Twitter page to share his heartfelt happiness about meeting Rajinikanth.

Sharing his special picture with Rajinikanth, Shankar tweeted, "Elated to have met our Sivaji the Boss @rajinikanth sir himself on this very memorable day marking #15yearsofSivaji Your Energy, Affection and Positive Aura made my day!". Sivaji: The Boss was the first-ever Tamil film to collect 100 crores at the worldwide box office and it holds several other exciting records, to date. Sivaji is a film that redefined the term commercial cinema and elevated the standards of Tamil cinema to greater heights. The film had everything in the right proportions, from action to romance to sentiment to comedies and the audiences enjoyed the film to the fullest.

The punch dialogues of Sivaji The Boss were a rage among the audience during that time and even today, many dialogues stand relevant. Shankar's conviction in creating the film with the highest standards in all departments is what made Sivaji a classic film and it will surely stand the test of time. Rajinikanth's surprise makeover as the Motta Boss towards the end of the film was widely enjoyed by audiences across the globe.

Currently, Rajinikanth is gearing up to begin shooting for his next, Thalaivar 169, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. On the other hand, Shankar is busily shooting his film with Ram Charan, RC 15, also starring Kiara Advani and Jayaram.
