Superstar Rajinikanth polled his vote in Tamil Nadu State Election 2021 which is happening today (April 6) on a grand scale. The winner of this election will be the leader of the state for the next 5 years and notably, this is the first State Election that is happening after the demise of two big icons - Kalaignar Dr. Karunanidhi and J Jayalalitha. Rajinikanth, came along with his wife, Latha Rajinikanth to the polling booth this morning and as soon as he entered the booth station, he was surrounded by hundreds of people. Rajinikanth registered his vote at Stella Maris College, Chennai. Small chaos occurred when Rajinikanth was about to cast his vote and the moment is now becoming viral on social media.

When Rajinikanth appeared in front of the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine), a section of photographers and videographers from the media and fans were in close proximity and they were eager to capture Rajinikanth's voting moment. Rajinikanth has always been closely associated with politics for the last few years and there have been various criticisms and discussions over his support to political parties. Having said that, it looks like a certain section of people wanted to reveal Rajinikanth's vote. However, Rajinikanth did not cast his vote until he made sure there was no one in close proximity. The crowd was cleared by Rajinikanth's PR team and the Police Officials.

On the professional front, Rajinikanth will next be seen in Annaatthe which is directed by Siva of Viswasam fame. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, Annaatthe has music scored by D Imman who recently won the National Award for Best Music Director (Songs) for his work in Viswasam. Annaatthe is touted to be a rural family drama that will be high on action and family emotions. It is said that the film will showcase Rajinikanth in a different dimension and it is going to be exciting to see the legendary actor in a full fledged rural film after a very long time.

The film, which is being shot on a grand scale, features four female leads in the form of Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, and Nayanthara. Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, play supporting roles. Annaatthe is scheduled to release in theatres for this year's Diwali festival.
