Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's long awaited film, Maamanithan is finally on its way to release and it looks like the fans are going to witness the movie very soon. Earlier this evening, the film's producer and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja took to his official Twitter page to share a super exciting update. The first single from Maamanithan is all set to be released on April 7, coming Wednesday. The highlighting aspect of Maamanithan is that the film will have music composed by Isaignaani Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, marking the first ever collaboration of the father - son combo. Both, Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have a huge fan following and when they collaborate together for a film, the expectations would surely be doubled.

Maamanithan is a film that has excited the fans ever since the announcement of the project and after a long and patient wait, we will be witnessing the first release from the film on April 7. Yuvan's announcement tweet read, "I am happy to announce that @YSRfilms will be releasing our First Single of our Second Production #MaaManithan the 7th Of April .A Musical treat from Appa & me. @VijaySethuOffl @seenuramasamy @SGayathrie @mynnasukumar @YSRfilms @U1Records @donechannel1 @CtcMediaboy". Maamanithan marks Yuvan Shankar Raja's second production venture after the successful romantic drama, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal which featured Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson in the lead roles. Maamanithan is directed by Seenu Ramasamy who is known for his soulful and intense emotional dramas.

Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Super Deluxe fame Gayathrie plays the female lead, while KPAC Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, Anikha Surendran, Saravana Sakthi, and others will be seen in supporting roles. Produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja's YSR Productions, Maamanithan has cinematography handled by Mynaa Sukumar and editing by Sreekar Prasad. The film's songs are penned by lyricists Pa Vijay, Pazhani Bharathi, and PS Ganesh. The film's television satellite rights have been acquired by Zee Tamil channel. The rest of the album is also expected to release soon.
