Madhavan is one of the leading actors in Indian cinema who has a very good fan base, especially among the women. Madhavan is fondly called as Maddy by a lot of people and the female fan following has never gone down for the handsome star. Recently, one of the fans posted a video of ‘Thirumangalyam’ song from Nala Damayanthi and expressed her love for him. She said that the song was cute. The surprise hit everyone when Maddy himself replied to this tweet by saying, “To the worst dancer in the history of tamil cinema???".

His funny reply and sarcastic take on his own dance was enjoyed by the fans and the tweet has garnered a lot of attention. Maddy has been someone who has always interacted and maintained a very sweet rapport with his followers on social media and this tweet is another reflection of that.

Nala Damayanthi was a film that portrayed the fun side of Madhavan and it was an interesting film which owns a good fan base. The film, co-starring Geetu Mohandas, Shrutika, Anu Haasan, and Sriman, was directed by veteran filmmaker Moulee. Kamal Haasan produced the film under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International.

Up next, Madhavan has three big projects which are in different stages of production. He would be seen playing the male lead in Anushka's Nishabdham (Silence in Tamil) which is expected to release as soon as the theatres reopen. However, if the situation doesn't get better, the makers might opt for a direct OTT release.

Maddy also has Maara which is the final stages of post-production. Maara is the Tamil remake of Dulquer Salmaan's acclaimed hit film, Charlie, and this film is directed by Dhilip Kumar. Maara features Shraddha Srinath as the female lead, while Sshivada, Mouli form the supporting cast. The film has music scored by Ghibran, cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and Karthik Muthukumar and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Then comes Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Madhavan's ambitious dream project that also marks his directorial debut. Produced by Tricolour Films in association with Varghese Moolan Pictures, Rocketry has music scored by Sam CS and cinematography by Sirsha Ray.
