'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan is set to open in theatres on April 28. The highly-anticipated rom-com has Nayanthara and Samantha Ruth Prabhu playing the female leads and features music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. Jointly produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio in association with Rowdy Pictures banner, promotions for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal are in full swing, with Vijay Sethupathi and Vignesh Shivan taking part in an interview on Sunday and sharing fun-filled details about their experience shooting the film.

Speaking to Galatta, Vignesh Shivan made a confession to Vijay Sethupathi saying, "We had gone to Athirappilly Falls in Kerala to shoot the 'Rendu Kaadhal' song. After filming the song, Vijay Sethupathi sir had a doubt whether I'd call him back to shoot once again. I wanted to request him to shoot a few shots with him the next morning and required two hours of his time since the location was a little distant and we had to wade through the waters." Vignesh Shivan added jokingly, "At that time, Vijay Sethupathi sir had to shoot for his Bollywood film (Merry Christmas) with Katrina Kaif the next day and he didn't pay any attention to my request. I too realized that the Katrina Kaif movie was important because I too like her. However, he had a doubt whether the shoot on KRK had wrapped up, which I myself and my team had assured him that everything was completed."

Vignesh Shivan then revealed, "Later, while I was watching KRK in post-production, I had a lot of regret that I didn't take those four shots I had planned at Athirappilly Falls. So, I called Vjay Sethupathi sir the next day and it incidentally was his wife Jessie's birthday. I asked him if we can go to Athirappilly once again to shoot those sequences. He was quite taken aback. After I told him about this, it didn't go down well at his home. So, this is my confession to sir and sister Jessie - sorry for troubling you both like this." Vignesh Shivan concluded by saying, "However, we later went to Athirappilly and filmed those shots and scenes for the song and came back satisfied with the final output."
