The countdown is on for the release of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal hitting theatres worldwide on April 28. Starring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha in the lead roles, the upcoming film is a romantic comedy and has been directed by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, with the songs and the background score composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. Produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio in association with director Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara's Rowdy Pictures banner, promotions are in full swing for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which is coming out on the big screen in less than 10 days, with the team on Wednesday releasing the much-awaited 'Dippam Dappam' song video picturized on Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha.

Sung by Anthony Daasan and Anirudh to the lyrics penned by Vignesh Shivan, 'Dippam Dappam' is set on Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha's Rambo and Khatija characters and is the fourth track in the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal album, which has a total of seven songs. Former Indian cricketer S. Sreeshanth is also making an appearance in the film and is featured in the song along with Anirudh also grooving to the beats in the club ambiance. The makers had earlier released the 'Rendu Kaadhal', 'Two Two Two' and 'Naan Pizhai' songs from the film, which have received a stunning response from fans, who are now waiting to witness the visuals on the big screen. There is a lot of buzz for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal and the feedback on the songs and the film's teaser is a strong testimony.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is the second occasion Vignesh Shivan has directed a film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara together after their Naanum Rowdydhaan in 2015, which went on to become a box office blockbuster, while also being showered with praises by critics. As of now, the wait is on for the highly-anticipated Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal trailer, which is expected to be out in the days ahead considering the film is days away from its theatrical release.
