Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is gearing up for a massive release this year on September 7 and the buzz surrounding the film so far has been nothing short of huge. Although full-fledged promotions are yet to kick off, it came as a big blow when a few video clips from the film were leaked on social media sometime back, leading to SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited filing a suit over copyright infringement. In that light, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, May 17, directed social media platform Twitter to share the basic subscriber information, including other relevant details of five user accounts such as the usernames, IP addresses, and phone numbers that were involved in the leak of video clips of Jawan.

Seeking details of the users, Red Chillies Entertainment's counsel claimed that the five Twitter accounts were posting clips and infringing material from Jawan on the social platform, while also stating that the persons "leaking videos" have attained access to the company's system. In his order, Justice C Hari Shankar said, "The court directs defendant no 2 (Twitter) to provide information of the accounts with advance service to the counsel of the plaintiff so that the plaintiff can take appropriate action." Earlier on April 25, the Delhi High Court directed YouTube, Google, Twitter, and Reddit to remove the leaked videos of Jawan from their platforms after Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment filed a lawsuit over copyright infringement.
Jawan will be Shah Rukh Khan's second big release of 2023 after the actor made a spectacular return to the big screens after a four-year gap with Pathaan back in January. The upcoming film marks the Bollywood directorial debut of blockbuster Tamil director Atlee and also has 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer GK Vishnu, and editor Ruben making their entry into Hindi cinema as well. Jawan will see Shah Rukh Khan pitted against leading Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, who has been cast as the antagonist, and fans sure are waiting to witness a cracker of an entertainer in cinemas this September.
