The 'Thalapathy' Vijay and 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Master, which hit theatres as a grand Pongal release, continues to be celebrated by fans, with the mass masala action entertainer declared to be a box office blockbuster. As Master continues to storm the box office, the mass masala action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner began streaming on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform from January 29. With Master also getting a massive reception on Amazon Prime, many on social media began sharing their own statistics on the number of views for the film on the popular streaming platform.

As Master has been seeing a good turnout in theatres despite its OTT release, social media users and fans have also been requesting Amazon Prime on the number of views generated on the platform. When one user queried the views Master had registered in the first 24 hours since its premiere, Amazon Help issued a statement saying they cannot share the info. This latest statement from Amazon comes at a time when there were numerous reports and statistics being shared on social media claiming to be the official view count on the streaming platform. Check out Amazon's response below in their tweet:

The news of Master getting streamed on Amazon in two weeks after its theatrical release had initially come as a big shock to a majority of fans. Although there was a big doubt whether Master would sustain its theatrical run after it began streaming on Amazon Prime, the film has been witnessing good numbers in the theatres it has released. Master has turned around the fates of multiplexes and single screen cinema hall owners, who breathed a big sigh of relief with the film's release. Both Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi's star power and power-packed screen presence have not only brought a big debate about the film, but also revived the movie-watching experience on the big screen.
