Actress Payal Rajput garnered attention with her impressive performance in her Telugu debut film, RX 100, that starred Karthikeya in the lead role. The talented actress later featured in notable biggies like N.T.R.Kathanayakudu (cameo), Venky Mama, Disco Raja, etc. Up next, she would be making her Tamil debut with Udhayanidhi Stalin's film, Angel, directed by K.S.Adhiyaman. This horror drama is produced by Rama Saravanan's OST Films and has music scored by D Imman. Meanwhile, a section of media had reported that Payal Rajput might feature for a special item dance number in two upcoming biggies - Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and director Shankar’s Indian 2.

However, Payal Rajput has vehemently denied the rumours and has cleared the air through an official statement. She took to her Instagram page to share the important clarification. She wrote, “Plz don't spread fake news. I don't know how these rumours about me keep floating around. I'm not doing any song in the film. I've not even been approached for anything like this. For last few days I've been receiving lot of msgs regarding special dance number in Indian 2, Pushpa and god knows how many more. Lmme clear it all are rumours and I didn't sign anything yet. And as of now I'm not shooting anything. Chill & Relax.” This immediate response from Payal Rajput has put a full stop to all the baseless rumours.

Indian 2 will feature Kamal Haasan as the iconic Indian thatha - Senapathi and the fans are already excitedly waiting for the film. Directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by R Rathnavelu and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Apart from Kamal Haasan, the film carries few other exciting names in the star cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivekh, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu, and others. This political action drama is being made as one of the biggest films in Indian cinema and with director Shankar at the helm, one can be sure of the grandeur of the film.

Talking about Pushpa, it is going to be Allu Arjun's next outing after the blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and it is directed by Sukumar of Rangasthalam fame. The young and happening Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing the love interest of Allu Arjun in this film which has music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa is touted to feature Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the villain, but an official confirmation is awaited. The film will be released in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Pushpa's story will revolve around red sanders smuggling.
