A team up that fans were waiting for a long time once again to witness, the reunion of Selvaraghavan, Dhanush, Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer Arvind Krishna for a new project sparked off instant interest among Tamil cinema fans as their collaboration since the beginning of the 2000s has turned out to be a highly successful one. The Selvaraghavan-Dhanush film, which began rolling last week under the tentative title S12, is being bankrolled by reputed producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner, with the team now revealing the prestigious project's title.

On the occasion of Pongal, director Selvaraghavan has now announced on his social media pages that his upcoming film starring his brother Dhanush has been titled as Naane Varuven, while also sharing two different posters. It is to be noted that Naane Varuven marks the fifth occasion Selvaraghavan is working with Dhanush after their previous films Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Mayakkam Enna. Likewise, producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu retweeted the acclaimed director's tweet and said, "#S12 is #NaaneVaruven. Delighted and Excited to be a part of this most awaited combo! @dhanushkraja @selvaraghavan @thisisysr @Arvindkrsna". Check them out below:

Naane Varuven's technical crew has also been revealed in the posters, with the film also including talented names such as Prasanna GK for the editing, art direction by RK. Vijai Murugan and costume design by Kavya Sriram, with Perumal Selvam on board as the costumer. Make-up will be taken care of by the Nellai V. Shanmugam-B. Raja duo, with stills by Theni Murugan, publicity design by Kabilan and Riaz K Ahmed serving as the PRO. The shooting on Naane Varuven kicked off with Selvaraghavan sharing a production photo of himself looking at a monitor with the camera frame set on a jeep.

Both Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are reuniting with Naane Varuven for the first time in nearly a decade after their Mayakkam Enna in 2011. Likewise, Dhanush is working under producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner for the third time after 2019's blockbuster Asuran directed by National Award-winner Vetri Maaran. Dhanush's Karnan directed by Pariyerum Perumal fame Mari Selvaraj also being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu wrapped up filming last month. Expectations for Naane Varuven have been tremendous considering the duo on New Year dropped the bombshell announcement that they are also going to collaborate on the highly-anticipated Aayirathil Oruvan 2
