Earlier today (November 26), Samantha made a big announcement on her next project and the announcement has garnered wide attention on social media already. The star actress took one and all by pleasant surprise by announcing her first-ever International film and this one will surely put Samantha's name on the International market. Samantha will be teaming up with BAFTA award-winning and critically acclaimed filmmaker Philip John for an International film and the film is titled Arrangements of Love. Philip John is known for directing several episodes of the series, Downtown Abbey.

Reports have confirmed that Samantha will be seen playing the character of Anu, a bisexual woman, hailing from Tamil Nadu, a progressive lady who runs a detective agency. Samantha seems to have got a challenging task ahead and she sounded highly excited about the project. Expressing her excitement and happiness about signing her first-ever International film,

Samantha wrote on her Instagram page, "A whole new world ♥️….. I last auditioned in 2009 for Ye Maya chesave. 12 years later, and auditioning again, I felt the very same nervousness…. I guess it’s not everyday you get to audition for a BAFTA award winning, critically acclaimed director of your most favourite series 'Downton Abbey’ ♥️ Jumping for joy that you picked me sir 🤗 #PhilipJohn .. Sunitha Tati will be bankrolling this project under the banner of Guru Films and this project marks her second outing with Samantha after the highly successful Telugu film, Oh! Baby. Arrangements of Love will be the visual adaptation of the 2004 bestselling novel of the same name, written by Timeri N Murari. The shooting of this film is expected to commence in August 2022 and further details are awaited. Samantha's next release will be Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal which is currently in post-production. The film which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara as the other leads, is scheduled to release in December.
