The Silambarasan TR and A. R. Rahman combo has been a magical one as their collaborations in the past in films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016), and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling (2022) turned out to be magical and the same is once again is expected from the duo in their upcoming film, Pathu Thala, releasing in theatres worldwide on March 30. Directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N. Krishna under K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green banner, it has now been officially announced that the much-awaited Pathu Thala first single will be released on February 3 on the special occasion of Simbu's birthday.

The Pathu Thala first single track sung by A. R. Rahman is titled 'Namma Satham' is billed to be a foot-tapping number and fans will no doubt look forward to STR setting the dance floor on fire. Sandy master has choreographed the dance for the song, which has lyrics penned by Vivek. 'Namma Satham' is expected to be a mass number and A. R. Rahman's vocals will surely be the icing on the birthday cake for Simbu as the Academy Award-winning composer is known for elevating the songs he sings with his unique voice. Silambarasan will be sharing screen space with Gautham Karthik in Pathu Thala, which also includes names like Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and filmmaker-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon as the antagonist, followed by Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others in pivotal roles. The film is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster, Mufti, released in 2017, which was directed by Narthan, and STR and Gautham Karthik are playing the roles in the Tamil version portrayed by Shivarajkumar and Srimurali, respectively. Pathu Thala is a massive project for Simbu, who will be looking to make it a hat-trick after the staggering response to his Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022).
