The long wait for Tamil actor Vijay's fans around the world has come to an end on Monday, January 30, as the announcement for his next big film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, is finally out and marks the big reunion of the superstar with blockbuster director Lokesh Kanagaraj after their 2021 smash hit, Master. Vijay is fresh from the staggering box office success of his recent release, Varisu, which was directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, who has now extended his wishes to the upcoming Tamil film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-producer Jagadish Palanisamy on social media.
Taking to Twitter, Vamshi expressed his excitement at the photo shared by Lokesh Kanagaraj of himself and Vijay for the Thalapathy 67 announcement and tweeted, "This is a very powerful image @Dir_Lokesh ... can't wait to watch yet another stunner in this combination of @actorvijay Sir and You.... The Thalapathy 67 announcement has come at a time when fans are still celebrating the phenomenal response to Varisu as audiences continue to throng cinemas to watch Vijay in the family entertainer. Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's next after Master has been dominating the social media trends for well over a year after it was revealed that the duo was collaborating once again.
