'Vaa Vaathi' has lyrics penned by Dhanush under his pen name 'Poetu' Dhanush featuring vocals by Shweta Mohan, who has also sung the Telugu version in Sir titled 'Mastaaru Mastaaru' to verses written by Ramajogaiah Sastry. The song has been billed to be a soul-stirring number, with the album expected to be yet another memorable one for the Dhanush and GV Prakash fans after they previously collaborated in films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, Asuran, and Maaran. Vaathi has Dhanush paired with youth sensation Samyuktha Menon, who has garnered a huge fan following after her appearances in notable Malayalam films.
Dhanush, who is a two-time National Award-winning actor, will be looking to end 2022 on a successful note with Vaathi after he had four releases this year that included films like Maaran, The Gray Man, Thiruchitrambalam, and Naane Varuvean. Produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner in association with Sai Soujanya's Fortune Four Cinemas, Vaathi / Sir is a period drama film and has Dhanush dubbing in his own voice for both languages, which was first noticed in the teaser.
