A film that was slated to hit theatres earlier this year on April 9, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master is now gearing up for a massive Pongal release on January 13, 2021. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner, promotions on the upcoming film touted to be a mass action entertainer are being carried out at a steady pace, with the teaser in Tamil and Telugu released to an astounding response. With the hype surrounding the film continuing to get bigger each day, popular Hindi film distributor Vishek Chauhan took to his YouTube channel and spoke about the need for Vijay's Master to be released in Hindi on the same day as its theatrical release in Tamil.

In the video, Hindi film distributor Vishek Chauhan starts off stating there has been no big or decent Bollywood release so far across the country and added that Christopher Nolan's Tenet is the only film to see a moderate success around India. He then states that Vijay's Master is that one film that could get single screens on board across the country. He adds that Vijay's star power is huge and the opening for his Sarkar is testimony enough. Vishek continues to say that North Indian audiences are quite familiar with Vijay's films as they have watched them on TV and are aware of his star stature. He then states that his biggest film that got a release in Hindi was Puli since it also had Sridevi, despite not performing as expected at the box office. He then goes on to assert that Vijay needs a proper release in Hindi and adds that he believes his Master will be that film.

Listing out his reasons for Vijay's Master to get a simultaneous release in Hindi along with its Tamil version, Vishek Chauhan says the inclusion of 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi in the film will do wonders since he too enjoys a huge fan base among North Indian audiences as his Vikram Vedha released in Hindi received an astounding feedback. He then states that a majority of both these stars films have been watched on the TV and on OTT platforms and it was about time they get to watch Master as a celebration movie alongside its Tamil release. Vishek further says that the release of Master in Hindi will have a great impact in North India as people are eager to watch new films in theatres since the response to the Baahubali films and Rajinikanth's 2.0 proved they can turn out to be box office successes.

Vishek in the video also states that it is about time that the people in North India get to experience the magic of Vijay and should not be confined to Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and select few states. He added that the film needs to be experienced by audiences in North India the way it is meant to be - just as fans in Tamil Nadu get to watch Vijay's films in theatres on the day of its release. He concludes with an appeal to the makers to release Master in Hindi alongside its Tamil version.

Apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, Master featuring chart-buster music by Anirudh Ravichanderalso  includes Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, followed by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others forming the supporting cast, with all sights now set on the film's trailer, which is expected to be released soon.
