The fans of STR are surely having the happiest time. The teaser of Silambarasan TR’s Eeswaran was released on Diwali day and it was a visual treat for the fans. Simbu’s lean makeover grabbed the attention of everyone and it looks like the film will be a fun-filled commercial entertainer. The film, directed by Susienthiran, is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in January 2021 for the festive occasion of Pongal. The film’s shooting was wrapped up at a single stretch in one schedule at Dindigul and its neighbouring areas. Following that, STR moved to his other project, Maanaadu, which is one of the most expected films among the fans.

STR is currently shooting for the film at Pondicherry and the shoot is happening as per the Covid-19 protocols. Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu who is known for his fun-filled commercial entertainers. It is going to be interesting to see how he has handled a political subject. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, this film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. For all the fans of STR, here is an exciting revelation from the makers of Maanaadu. The news was shared by director Venkat Prabhu on his Twitter page and this has made the fans look forward to the update. Venkat Prabhu had recently informed his followers and well wishers that the first look of Maanaadu will be released soon. Linking that with this latest development, it is most likely that tomorrow's announcement would be regarding the release of the first look poster. Let us wait until tomorrow morning to know the first look release plans of Maanaadu. The film is being shot on a grand scale and it is expected to showcase STR in a very different dimension.

He will be seen playing the role of Abdul Khaaliq. The film features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of SJ Surya, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Manoj Bharathiraja, and others.
