Actor Silambarasan TR is set to be a busy man in the days ahead as the swashbuckling star has a number of films lined up and has been hard at work in the gym to tone his physique. Fans have been craving to see Simbu, who’s kept a low profile for a while now, especially after hearing the news that he had undergone a physical transformation by coming down from 100 kgs to 75 kgs for his next films. In that light, it came as a massive surprise for STR's fans when pictures and videos of his visit to the Tirumala Tirupati temple and the Madurai Meenakshi temple dropped on social media.

STR has been seeking blessings at the temples ahead of his upcoming projects that have left fans quite excited. During his visit to the Tirumala Tirupati temple, he was seen wearing the traditional veshti with his face covered in a mask as a safety precaution protocol against the novel coronavirus. The next picture shows him wearing goggles and a baseball hat with his face fully covered by a face mask. The pictures also confirm that Simbu has indeed lost a lot of weight making him look more suave and uber cool than before. We can see the actor sporting a thick beard, which possibly could be for his role in his upcoming film with director Suseenthiran, which will be produced by T. Rajendar under the Chimbu Cine Arts banner.

The Simbu-Suseenthiran project is speculated to be a rural entertainer and has been revealed to be a quickie with plans to wrap the entire shoot in a month's time. Shooting is set to begin in Dindigul in the next few days after which he will resume work on his highly-anticipated Maanaadu under Venkat Prabhu's direction in November. Being produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions, the team had finished filming some portions, but had to halt production in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. Maanaadu is a multi-starrer and includes Kalyani Priyadarshan as the heroine, with SJ Suryah, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, veteran directors S A Chandrasekhar and Bharathiraja, among others in major supporting roles and featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Simbu is also a part of STR 45, a remake of the blockbuster hit Kannada film, Mufti. He will be seen alongside Gautham Karthik. The film is being directed by Narthan, who incidentally is Mufti's director and will be making his Tamil cinema debut under the Studio Green production banner. It is to be noted that Silambarasan had also been confirmed by ace filmmaker Mysskin for a project a while back, but no official word has come out regarding when production will begin. STR's next big screen appearance will be an extended cameo in Hansika's Maha directed by U. R. Jameel. The film marks his reunion with Hansika once again after their 2015 film, Vaalu
