Actress Shamna Kasim, known among fans by her stage name Poorna, has been a part of South Indian cinema for nearly two decades and has starred in films starring top heroes over the course of her career. Poorna, who first made her acting debut in the 2004 Malayalam film Manju Poloru Penkutty, has since gone on to become a popular name in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, and has on a number of occasions been said by many to be resembling former leading actress Asin. With several ventures lined up, the much-awaited trailer for Poorna's next big Telugu film titled Sundari is now out and teases the plot revolving extensively around her character. 

A woman-centric film, Poorna's Sundari also starring Arjun Ambati as the male lead, has been directed by Kalyanji Gogana under the Rizwan Entertainment banner and features music composed by Suresh Bobbili, with cinematography by Bal Reddy and plans already underway to get it out in theatres soon. The Sundari trailer predominantly shows the incurring incidents that happen around Poorna, an innocent woman from a village, who is married to a city man being played by Arjun Ambati. We see their relationship going through several obstacles after men begin taking a liking to Poorna and her beauty in the hopes of getting to be physical with her. There are a number of bold scenes in Sundari and the ultimate decision of Poorna's character in the film will likely form the crux of the plot. 

Poorna, whose last big roles in Tamil were the Suriya starrer Kaappaan and director Venkat Prabhu's mystery thriller Lock Up and will next be seen in the RK Suresh starrer Visithiran, a production venture of National Award-winning filmmaker Bala, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Ammayi, including the multi-lingual Thalaivi alongside Kangana Ranaut. She is also set to be seen next in Vritham in Malayalam, followed by 100 in Kannada, and Telugulo Naaku Nachani Padam PremaBack DoorPower Play and BB3 in Telugu. Among the films in 2021, Poorna's Sundari will most likely be her first and based on the visuals in the trailer, we can expect it to be an intense drama centered around the relationship between a married couple and the aspect of jealousy.
