Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra director reduces his salary | Huge Respect in the industry!
One of the most talked about movies of recent times is Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming movie Cobra! This movie, directed by the young talent Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame, is being bankrolled by Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio banner. Isai Puyal AR Rahman is scoring the music for this movie, which has KGF heroine Srinidhi Shetty marking her Kollywood debut and also stars Miya George! Former Indian cricketing all-rounder Irfan Pathan is also making his cinematic debut, with Cobra! This movie has been making the headlines for a number of reasons in the recent past!
Cobra's first single 'Thumbi Thullal' was released recently and the song instantly became a chartbuster with all sections of the audiences taking to it! It was just yesterday that the upcoming music sensation Sahana, who is visually challenged, recreated the tunes and the Cobra team were so overwhelmed with it that they presented her with a Solo Studio bundle with a complete setup, after becoming totally impressed with her work! With the ongoing COVID Novel Corona Virus pandemic, all movies and their producers are facing heavy losses due to shoot being stopped and movies not releasing in theatres. Leading Kollywood celebrities like Vijay Antony, Keerthy Suresh and many others have come forward to reduce their salaries and are taking voluntary pay cuts to help the producers of their movies!
Now, Cobra's director Ajay Gnanamuthu has also come forward and voluntarily taken a 40% cut in his pay for this movie. After reports of this news began doing the rounds on social media, we got in touch with the director himself to clarify it. Ajay Gnanamuthu stated that he had indeed taken a pay cut of 40% to help his Cobra producer, during these testing times! This is a very magnificent gesture indeed and has gained him a lot of respect in Kollywood circles! Way to go Ajay Gnanamuthu!
