Actor Siddharth was recently announced to be a part of the upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Maha Samudram. The film being directed by Ajay Bhupati, known for his Telugu blockbuster RX 100, will also include popular Tollywood actor Sharwanand, who is known among Tamil cinema fans for his films namely Engeyum Eppothum and the Cheran directorial JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai, while he was also seen in the 96 remake titled Jaanu

Post the announcements of Siddharth and Sharwanand coming on board Maha Samudram, the excitement for the project touched a new high as the film will mark producer Sunkara Ramabrahmam of AK Entertainments’ next after the blockbuster box office success of Sarileru Neekevvaru which had Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Touted to be an intense love and action drama, it has now been officially announced that actress Aditi Rao Hydari has been cast as the female lead in Maha Samudram.

Aditi Rao Hydari is known prominently among Tamil cinema fans for starring in ace director Mani Ratnam's films like Kaatru Veliyidai and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Her performances in both films landed immense praise from critics and fans alike, who especially complimented her for pulling off a sensitive character as seen in Kaatru Veliyidai opposite Karthi. Having debuted in 2006 in Malayalam in Prajapathi, Aditi Rao has since then gone on to be a part of several notable films over the years among which include Delhi 6, Rockstar, Padmaavat in Hindi, while also establishing herself to be a talent to be reckoned in South Indian cinema. 

Aditi has also had a busy 2020 already as she has been seen in films such as director Mysskin's Psycho opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin in Tamil, followed by the Malayalam romantic drama, Sufiyum Sujatayum with Jayasurya and the action thriller V in Telugu starring Nani, Sudheer Babu and Nivetha Thomas. Her performance in Psycho fetched her praise from fans and those in the industry alike, while Sufiyum Sujatayum and V were released on Amazon Video Prime in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. In Tamil, she is currently attached to the Dulquer Salman starrer Hey Sinamika and the action political drama Tughlaq Durbar alongside 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Manjima Mohan, while also being a part of Parineeti Chopra's The Girl on the Train in Hindi.
