Thala Ajith’s next film would be Valimai, an action thriller which is directed by H Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Nerkonda Paarvai fame. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP and has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Valimai, which will feature Ajith as a police officer, is expected to be high on action. According to reports, the film is going to have a lot of action and chase sequences and we can expect Ajith to pull off some high-octane, risky stunt moves. The movie has popular Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi playing the female lead, while the lead antagonist is yet to be officially announced. The film has cinematography by Nirav Shah.

As we all know, the film's shooting has been stalled due to the global pandemic situation and one is not sure when the shooting will resume. Ajith has reportedly made it clear that the shooting of Valimai will resume only when everyone are declared safe from the pandemic. Being a big-budget film shot on a large scale, it is not practically possible for the makers to shoot with a very minimal crew and hence we can expect the shooting of the film to resume when things get normal.

Earlier today (July 3), Yuvan Shankar Raja interacted with his fans and followers on Instagram and answered the questions posed by them. One of the fans asked him about the music of Valimai, asking him how the album is shaping up. Yuvan replied saying, “Working on it. Things have slowed down due to the current situation”. The exciting aspect was the fire emojis that Yuvan had in his answer, implying that the songs and BGM would be full of power and energy. This reply is sure to garner a lot of attention among the fans who were eager to know about some developments regarding the film.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has a fantastic success ratio with Ajith and he has played a major role in elevating the mass screen presence of Ajith in films like Dheena, Billa, Mankatha, etc. Yuvan’s last release was the Sivakarthikeyan starrer Hero which released in December 2019. Currently, Yuvan Shankar Raja is working on various exciting projects including STR's Maanaadu, Vijay Sethupathi's Maamanithan, Vishal's Chakra, Atharvaa's Kuruthi Aattam, S.J.Surya's Bommai, Jayam Ravi's Jana Gana Mana, Santhanam's Dikkiloona, Raiza Wilson's Alice, Rio Raj's Plan Panni Pannanum, Arulnithi - Jiiva starrer Kalathil Santhipom, and more.
