A film that is the talk of the town, 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to open in theatres worldwide on June 3. Touted to be an action thriller, the upcoming film will see 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil in vital roles and features music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. Vikram, which is already packed with massive talent, will also showcase actor-producer Suriya in a cameo, whose casting was announced at the film's audio launch a few days back. In the meantime, director Rathna Kumar of Meyaadha Maan and Aadai fame, who earlier wrote the story and screenplay, and dialogues for Vijay's Master along with Lokesh Kanagaraj, and is also a dialogue-writer on Vikram, has now shed light on Suriya's role in the film.

Suriya came onboard Vikram in the final stages of production after which the team didn't waste any time in heading to the editing table to include the portions in the final cut of the film. Speaking about the Jai Bhim actor's role in the Kamal Haasan-starrer, Rathna said, "Suriya joined the film on the last day of the shooting and I had missed it. If one were to look at his performance in the film Ratha Sarithiram, he was vigorous and fiery in his look and role. Even though we have had very little time to establish his character in our film, the image he has created for himself and his own charisma elevate him. That is the real magic here as the setting of his character itself is exciting. You will not be able to decide whom to look at since it is such a massive set-up. And, in the midst of all that, he has performed exceptionally. The first time I watched his scenes, I got very excited and felt like I was watching it on the big screen even though we were editing the film. If I have to say, theatres should have insurance because it will draw in huge celebrations."
