Kamal Haasan's Vikram is getting ready for a mega grand release in theatres on June 3 and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the d-day. Vikram marks the return of Kamal Haasan the actor after 4 long years and the fans are super excitedly waiting to witness him back in action. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies will be presenting Vikram, assuring its release on a wide range of screens. That being said, the makers have now made an exciting announcement about the release of Vikram in Karnataka. The Karnataka theatrical distribution rights of Vikram have been acquired by Sri Karpaga Vinayaga Film Circuits, one of the leading film distribution companies.

The announcement was made last night by Raaj Kamal Films International. Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who has become one of the star filmmakers of Tamil cinema. With just three films, he has joined the league of A-list directors and Vikram is expected to be a solid action film from him. Vikram will feature Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil playing the other leads, alongside Kamal Haasan, and it is going to be a visual treat for the film buffs to witness all the three powerhouse performers together in one film. Adding more merry to the proceedings is Suriya's exciting cameo role which will appear towards the end of the film.

There have been various rumours circulating about Suriya's character in the film, but the makers have kept it under wraps for obvious reasons. Vikram features an ensemble supporting cast that includes the likes of Santhana Bharathi, Elango Kumaravel, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, VJ Maheshwari, Myna Nandhini, Jaffer Sadiq, and others. With cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj, the film has stunts choreographed by Anbariv Masters. Details regarding the censor and runtime of Vikram are awaited, but considering the action zone that the story is set in, it is most likely that the film will get a U/A.
