Sivakarthikeyan's next big film is the highly-anticipated action venture, Maaveeran, being directed by Madonne Ashwin and has generated tremendous excitement among fans right from the moment of its announcement. The upcoming film produced by Arun Viswa's Shanti Talkies banner and featuring music by Bharath Sankar of Mandela fame has been progressing at a steady pace and is being planned for an early 2023 theatrical release. With a special teaser for the title released back in July, it has now been announced that Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran album will be released on the leading audio label Saregama South.

Sharing a short video, Saregama South informed on social media on Tuesday, December 6, and wrote, "Elated & excited to associate with the much-loved @Siva_Kartikeyan starrer & @ShanthiTalkies's #MAAVEERAN🔥 A @bharathsankar12 musical🎼 #MaaveeranOnSaregama". Composer Bharath Sankar made heads turn with his songs and background score in the political satire film, Mandela, which too was directed by Madonne Ashwin and won the Best Debut Film of a Director and Best Screenplay (Dialogue) accolades at the 68th National Film Awards earlier this year. The buzz for Maaveeran shot up instantly after the film's title announcement teaser came out and gave fans a glimpse of Sivakarthikeyan in a completely new dimension, leaving many curious and intrigued. The film will see the actor-producer paired with youth sensation Aditi Shankar, who became a darling of the masses after her performance in her debut role in Karthi's Viruman. Maaveeran's star cast also includes acclaimed filmmaker Mysskin and Telugu actor Sunil of Pushpa fame playing the antagonists, while the supporting cast features Saritha and Yogi Babu. Sivakarthikeyan will be looking to come out all guns blazing with the film after his Prince didn't fare as he would have hoped for at the box office and among the critics.
