Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is all set to take cinema halls by storm when it releases for Pongal in January 2023 and pre-release works are already underway by blockbuster producer Boney Kapoor, who has bankrolled the film under his Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios. Directed by H. Vinoth, the upcoming film is billed to be an intense action thriller and has already been announced to be releasing in Tamil Nadu under Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies banner. With post-production works ongoing, it has now been announced that the Telugu theatrical rights of Thunivu have been bagged by Radhakrishna Entertainments and IVY Productions, and the two banners will be jointly releasing the film in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Thunivu will be going up against big guns in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana as it is coming alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy and 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, including 'Thalapathy's Vijay's Varisu releasing in Telugu under the title Vaarasudu. Although the Ajith-starrer has been announced to be a grand Pongal release, the wait is still on for the date when the film will hit theatres, and fans expect to hear some news soon. January is set to be a big month for Tamil and Telugu cinema lovers and Ajith fans will no doubt be hoping for Thunivu to come out with flying colors in all the regions it is being released. 

After Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, Ajith has teamed up with H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor, and expectations for Thunivu are massive after the team dropped the announcement that the much-awaited 'Chilla Chilla' song will be out on December 9. Composed by Ghibran and sung by Anirudh Ravichander to the lyrics penned by Vaisagh, the excitement surrounding the first single track has been huge ever since it was announced. Thunivu will see Ajith paired with Manju Warrier, while Samuthirakani is playing the role of a police officer, followed by Bigg Boss Tamil stars Ciby Bhuvana Chandran, Pavni Reddy and Amir cast too set to make appearances.
