Pathu Thala, with Silambarasan TR in the lead, has a huge anticipation. The film is directed by Sillunu Oru Kadhal fame Obeli N Krishna. It also has Gautham Karthik playing an important role with Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the female lead. The action thriller has created massive anticipation among fans as STR has been delivering hit films, like Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and Maanadu. Pathu Thala also has Gautham Vasudev Menon playing the antagonist role in the film. It has music composed by 'Isai Puyal' AR Rahman and is a remake of the hit Kannada film Mufti.

The makers of Pathu Thala released the trailer of the action thriller flick was released a week ago which further heightened the anticipation among fans and movie buffs. STR is seen in a rugged new look sporting the traditional clothes in the trailer and songs. The film also shows that Priya Bhavani Shankar will play the role of a government officer and Gautham Karthik will play the right-hand man of STR. The makers revealed the second single titled Ninaivirukka on 13th March. It was sung by AR Ameen and Shakthisree Gopalan with lyrics by Kabilan. The makers have now revealed that a grand audio launch event of the film is set to take place in Nehru Indoor Stadium from 5 PM on March 18. The cast and crew of Pathu Thala, including AR Rahman, STR and the director of the film, will be present at the event.

The audio launch of Silambarasan TR’s previous film Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu stirred a huge buzz for the film. The film Pathu Thala is set to be relelased in cinemas on March 30.
