Raaj Kamal Films International is a production house that was launched by 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan. The production house was launched in 1981 with the film Raja Paarvai which was also released in Telugu. The production house then when on to make multiple path-breaking films that changed the course of Tamil Cinema. The iconic star gave wings to his dream projects through the production house and also gave wings to the dream projects for some other directors including Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Bharathan, Balu Mahendra, PC Sreeram, etc. The last film that was released from production was the blockbuster hit Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Raaj Kamal Films International has now revealed their next project starring Silambarasan TR in lead role. A short reveal video of the film was released at 6.30 pm today. Ahead of this, the production house created anticipation among fans with just two words "Blood and Battle" in a announcement video. The speculation of fans has become right as STR is set to play the lead role in the film and it will direct by Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal fame Desingh Periyasamy. It will be produced by 'Ulaga Nayagan' kamal Haasan and Mahendran. STR shared the announcement video of the film with the caption “Dreams do come true”. The announced also shows a sword depicting the film could revolve around war. Kamal Haasan also shared the announcement video with the caption "Cinema, connects generation; reduces gaps. Wishes to the young and the talented" and tagged Silambarasan TR and Desingh Periyasamy.

Just the announcement video of the project has created massive anticipation. The film will be the 56th project of the production house. It will be STR‘s 48th film after Obeli N Krishna directed Pathu Thala which is set to release in theatres this month, with Gautham Karthik and Gautham Vasudev Menon in important roles.
