Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Selvaraghavan made his first big-screen appearance in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast released on Wednesday. The reputed director, who is also working on his upcoming directorial Naane Varuven with his brother-actor Dhanush after nearly a decade, sat down for an exclusive interview with Galatta to speak about their relationship, while also sharing a couple of tidbits about their dynamic in the film. Speaking about Dhanush, Selvaraghavan said, "To put it simply, we are one blood working together. I know what he's thinking since he's my younger brother. Outside of that, he's grown up, and even if I'm reminded that he's my brother, he's a man now. It's special for me."

Selvaraghavan, who is also awaiting the release of his Saani Kaayidham alongside Keerthy Suresh, further went on to reveal that post-production works on Naane Varuven are currently underway and is also the reunion for the filmmaker with Dhanush after nearly a decade when they collaborated on the acclaimed blockbuster Mayakkam Enna. Being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under his V Creations banner, the film will reportedly see Dhanush in a double role once again and for the third time in his career after Kodi (2016) and Pattas (2020). Naane Varuven will also mark the first time Selvaraghavan will be sharing screen space with Dhanush and their on-screen collaboration has fans everywhere excited since the duo is expected to put up a huge visual delight for fans.

Apart from Dhanush and Selvaraghavan, Naane Varuven also features music by chart-buster composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and his reunion with the duo is one of the biggest USPs of the film, which has Meyaadha Maan and Bigil fame Indhuja Ravichandran alongside Malang actress Elli AvrRam, followed by veteran actor Prabhu among others in major starring roles. Filming on Naane Varuven came to a wrap recently and plans are on for the film to release on a grand scale this year.
