Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's long delayed film, Idam Porul Yaeval, has finally crossed all the hurdles and is set for its release soon. Idam Porul Yaeval has been waiting for its release for more than 8 years and the release was stalled due to various financial issues associated with the movie. All the problems are now said to be sorted and the Madras High Court has given the green signal for the makers to release the film. This good news was officially announced by the producers of the film - Thirrupathi Brothers, owned by director N Lingusamy and N Subash Chandra Bose.

An elated director Seenu Ramasamy met producer Lingusamy recently to celebrate the special occasion and their long wait has finally come to an end. Seenu Ramasamy also paid a special visit to a temple marking the victory on the legal grounds. With all problems now sorted and cleared for release, the makers will now have to look for a possible release window and the process is said to have started already. We can expect an announcement on the release date very soon and an exciting treat awaits fans. Idam Porul Yaeval stars Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Nandita Swetha in the lead roles and has an ensemble supporting cast that includes the likes of Vadivukkarasi, Bala Saravanan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruldoss, Ilavarasu, and others.

The film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with lyrics penned by Vairamuthu. Idam Porul Yaeval is the first film that marks the collaboration of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Vairamuthu. Rahul Dharuman has handled the cinematography, while the editing is taken care of by Kasi Viswanathan. Seenu Ramasamy's last release was Maamanithan which released this year opening to fairly decent reviews from the audiences.
