Nayanthara acted as the female lead in the Malayalam film, Love Action Drama that starred Nivin Pauly as the male lead. LAD marked the directorial debut of actor Dhyan Sreenivasan and it was produced by Funtastic Films, in association with M-Star Little Communications.

The film had music by Shaan Rahman, cinematography by Jomon T John and Roby Varghese Raj and editing by Vivek Harshan.
