A film that has sky-high expectations among fans right from the moment of its announcement earlier this month, the upcoming Vishal-Arya multi-starrer is being directed by Arima Nambi, Iru Mugan and NOTA fame Anand Shankar. Being produced by S Vinodkumar's Mini Studios Productions banner, the yet-to-be-titled film will mark the second occasion both Vishal and Arya will be seen sharing screen space together after their Avan Ivan in 2011 under Bala's direction.

The Vishal-Arya starrer tentatively being called Vishal 30 and Arya 32 is incidentally also Mini Studios' ninth venture and their fourth Tamil film in a row. Currently being shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, the makers have now officially announced that actress Mirnalini Ravi has joined the film’s sets and is playing the female lead opposite Vishal, while Arya is said to be the antagonist. Mirnalini Ravi shot to fame across Tamil Nadu with her lip sync videos on popular apps like dubsmash and Tik Tok, eventually landing her first role in the 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni and Fahadh Faasil starrer, Super Deluxe. Although she had little screen time, Mirnalini's role was a crucial one in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja-directed black comedy-drama film, which earned massive critical acclaim. Post Super Deluxe, Mirnalini appeared in the Susienthiran starrer Champion and is set to be seen next in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra, MGR Magan opposite Sasikumar, including the science-fiction thriller Jango being produced by CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment banner. 

Ace cinematographer RD Rajasekar has been roped in for the Vishal-Arya film, which also includes music by current South Indian sensation S. Thaman, whose popularity shot up after his phenomenal chart-busters in Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo earlier this year. There is also a strong talk doing the rounds as reports state actress Sameera Reddy has been cast in a role in the film, with an official announcement expected to be made soon.
