Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with the pre-production works of his next film and the fans have already pinned high expectations on the movie. Lokesh will be joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for his next and film is tentatively called Thalapathy 67. The project is yet to be formally announced by the production and the proceedings are expected to happen in December 2022. Meanwhile, actor Kalaiyarasan took to his official Twitter page to share his latest selfie picture with Lokesh Kanagaraj and he mentioned that he is not a part of the Vijay starrer. Kalaiyarasan also added that much exciting news is on the way for the fans.

Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj joined hands together for the first time with Master which emerged as one of the biggest ever blockbusters in Vijay's career.

Master was the film that revived the Indian box office after the Covid 19 pandemic and it received positive reviews from critics and the general audience. JD became a memorable and close-to-heart character for many Thalapathy fans and it is now going to be interesting to see what the talented filmmaker has in store for the audience in Thalapathy 67. The new movie is likely to be produced by Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studios, the company that presented Master. Anirudh is expected to score the music while several big names across the country are said to be in talks to play crucial roles.
