Aparna Das has been confirmed to be making her big debut in Telugu cinema next. The popular Malayalam actress has been announced to be playing a key role in Telugu actor Panja Vaisshnav Tej's next film, the tentatively titled PVT04, under Srikanth N Reddy's direction. Being produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the name of Aparna Das' character in PVT04 will be called Vajra Kaleshwari Devi and she shares screen space with Telugu sensation Sreeleela, who has been cast as the female lead, while Malayalam actor Joju George of Jagame Thandhiram fame will be seen as the antagonist.
PVT04 is a big step for Aparna Das after she impressed audiences and critics with her performance in Dada released earlier this year, which saw her as the female lead opposite Kavin. The coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film turned out to be a phenomenal commercial and critical success, with audiences praising the actress for her well-defined performance. Aparna Das had become a youth heart-throb among Tamil cinema audiences even before Dada had come out when she was seen in a small, but important role in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast released last year. Launched in January this year, PVT04 is billed to present Panja Vaisshnav Tej in an "all-new massy pulsating action avatar like never before". The popular young actor is 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's nephew and made his hero debut in Uppena in 2021, which also marked the Telugu debut of youth sensation Krithi Shetty, while Tamil actor 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi played the role of the antagonist. PVT04 is also the next big venture to be coming out from Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas after they kicked off 2023 on a huge winning note with the Dhanush-starrer Vaathi, which also came out in Telugu under the title Sir, and the production banners will be looking to keep the momentum going.
