Vijay Antony is a music director turned actor who has worked has delivered many hits film as an actor and music composer. He is known for choosing films that often have a thriller plot. The actor has taken a new avatar in the film as director in the film Pichaikkaran 2. And he has also edited the film. It also has Kavya Thapar playing the female lead with an interesting castof supporting actors. It is to be released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Ahead of the release of Pichaikkaran 2, the actor gave an exclusive interview with national award-winning critic Baradwaj Rangan, the editor-in-chief of Galatta Plus. When asked why he thinks he did not get calls from big directors. The actor said “During an event, for the film they asked the question if I will act with big directors. I said I will but, I was get offer from any of them, sir,” when asked why does he thinks he did not get calls, he said, “I have not become a big actor yet, sir.”
Baradwaj Rangan then asked but you have given many hit films right. The actor replies “there are hits sir but what most of them see is volume. How much money can be mounted on an actor? Like that, there are many things. If you have see the top 7, or 8 actors Vijay Ajith, Rajni sir, and Kamal sir will have a business. For example, if you take Shankar sir what gain will he have if he does a film with me? So, if you asked if big directors will come, practically, I know that it won’t happen. So for that, I have to come to a big actor in the future and that is what I said."
