Leading Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj has tested positive for Covid 19 Corona Virus and he took to his official Twitter page to share the news with his fans, followers, and well-wishers. Lokesh's official statement read, "Hello Everyone! Writing this to inform all my friends, family & well wishers that I have tested positive for Covid - 19 and have been admitted in a private hospital where I'm being taken good care of. Will be back soon & stronger! Until then, Lokesh Kanagaraj". The fans are praying for Lokesh Kanagaraj's speedy recovery and we at Galatta Media also wish to see him back in action very soon.

As Lokesh stated in his official note, he is currently getting treatment at a private hospital and further details are awaited. On the professional front, Lokesh Kanagaraj must be riding high on the phenomenal box office success of his recent film, Master, that starred Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The film, which had Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist, released in theatres amidst huge expectations. Despite the mixed reviews from the critics and general audience, Master did perform great and it revived the theatrical business in style after the Covid scenario. Master also put Lokesh Kanagaraj in the global map and he is now one of the most sought after filmmakers in the country.

Up next, Lokesh Kanagaraj will be teaming up with his favourite actor/director and inspiration, Kamal Haasan for a new film titled Vikram. The announcement teaser of the film received an outstanding response from the fans and film buffs and it looked like Kamal Haasan will be a part of an entertaining action drama after a long time. Lokesh Kanagaraj would already be looking forward to start shooting for the film with his idol and the shoot is expected to begin after the results of the upcoming Tamil Nadu State Elections are announced.

Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Lokesh has retained his same team that worked for Master and Kaithi for Vikram as well - Sathyan Sooryan for cinematography, Philomin Raj for editing, Sathees Kumar for art direction. A leading star hero is said to be in talks to play the negative role in Vikram, but an official announcement is yet to be made. Only after completing Vikram, we will be knowing about Lokesh's next plan of action as he is in discussions with several Tamil, and Telugu stars.
