Social distancing is said to be the only way to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus and all the people are being requested to practice it. However, some people like doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, paramedics, sanitation workers and a few others are risking their lives by being at the forefront of the fight against the Corona virus and are treating the infected patients, night and day. There have been incidents where such health workers have been persecuted by their neighbours and have even been abused and attacked at places. Even security guards standing protecting apartment building and stores need to be lauded for risking their lives meeting hundreds of people every day. Now we are told that a popular Kannada actor, director and dubbing artist Srinath Vasishta has turned into security guard after one of his apartment’s guards was tested positive for COVID-19. The apartment association have asked all the other security guards to Quarantine and residents living are taking turns and working as security guards.  
 
Speaking to the media, Srinath Vasishta said, "I had played the role of a security guard in one of the Kannada serials Chi.Sow.Savithri. This time, I did it for real. I spent the day tracking vehicles moving in and out of the apartment complex, monitoring temperature and checking if people were wearing masks." The apartment’s secretary, Sunil Krishnan told the portal, "There are six security personnel and five housekeeping staff employed with the apartment complex. After one of them tested positive for the virus, we decided to ask all the staff to quarantine themselves. We are now doing security work in three shifts — one from 6 am to 2 pm, another from 2 pm to 10 pm and the third from 10 pm to 6 am. Each shift is covered by two residents. There are others who are cleaning the apartment premises. We are able to manage as several of us are working from home at present." Srinath Vasishta’s son also took to his Twitter space to confirm the news - “Yes, all the residents have been working in shifts, from cleaning the apartment to keeping them secure all the residents are working together.”
