Valimai has got huge expectations among the fans and one can be sure that the film will have a grand opening at the box office during its release. The shooting and release will be planned only based on the pandemic situation and we will have to wait for a few more weeks to get a better clarity about it. Meanwhile, in a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, producer Boney Kapoor has stated that he always believes in the magic of 70mm screens and will want to release his films only in theatres.

When he was asked if he has any plans to release any of his upcoming films on OTT, Boney was quoted as saying, “I strongly believe there are certain films, which are meant for larger-than-life, theatrical experience, and so, they should go to cinema halls first. As for me, I am extremely excited to bring my (new) films to the big screen. In my 40-year-long career (as a film producer), I must have produced as many films by now, and all of them have released in theatres. Going by my experience, I can confidently say that all kinds of platforms -- be it OTT, cinema halls or television -- will co-exist, and thrive as well”. The fans can now be assured and wait for the right time to see Valimai on the big screens amidst celebrations.
