Amit Shah second Chennai visit called off!

The impending Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are causing quite a stir in the state and the parties are amping up their election campaigns and the buzz is rising! In recent times, there have been a lot of speculations over the seat sharing between the AIADMK (ruling party in the TN state) and their alliance party - the BJP (ruling in the centre)! Despite aggressive campaign work by the BJP in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK issued a strong statement unequivocally stating that the alliance would be lead by them and that there would not be any sharing of power in the state government!
Amidst all this, reports of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah visiting Chennai for the Pongal festival on January 14th, created quite a buzz! There were speculations that the seat sharing deal between the AIADMK and the BJP would be finalised during Amit Shah's visit, which would have been his second, within the last couple of months! However, it has now been updated that Amit Shah has called off his second visit, which was scheduled to happen on January 14th! During his first visit, towards the end of last year, Amit Shah had inaugurated projects worth Rs. 64,000 Crores, in Tamil Nadu.
Also, it had been reported that during his second visit to TN, Amit Shah had planned for a number of activities, including presiding over the 51st anniversary function of the popular Tamil political weekly magazine - Thuglaq. There were also speculations that Amit Shah was to meet with Superstar Rajinikanth to enquire over his health, after it had forced him to drop his plans of floating a political party, after he had announced it! Latest reports state that the BJP President JP Nadda is expected to visit Chennai for Pongal, in place of Amit Shah! Stay tuned for updates...
